Bon Jovi Live in Concert Jakarta, Sept 11, 2015

When we first heard that Bon Jovi would go to Indonesia, I made arrangement with some high school friends to watch the concert. We bought the Festival Left. Not cheap. It was 1.5 million Rupiah after tax. 

Then, finally. The day comes. I go early from office and heading to Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

I'm not going to write details about the concert event itself, but I want to comment about their performance:

1. Jon already can't sing high notes. He makes us, the audience to sing all the high notes. Or he improvise with acoustic guitar and sings lower notes. Well, he's 53. I understand that. 
2. I'm pretty disappointed because he doesn't interact much with us, other than 'hello how are you'. I expect more for a frontman who sings for 30 years. Sam Tsui (the opening act) is better in this department. 
3. The song lists are very disappointing. Most of us are 90s teenager, we don't know their newer album. I know Have A Nice Day but can't recall the lyrics. I don't make scientific statistics, but I think it's 50:50 of newer and old songs. Check Youtube. Have a Nice Day 'only' had 30 million hits. Not a HITS for his standard, IMO.   
4. because he doesn't talk much, the concert only last for 2 hours. Oh my. I was expecting 2.5 hours duration.

Well, that's all I can say. I'm still happy because I have the opportunity to be in the front. 

I can see him clearly! One and a half million is not for nothing :)

Clarisonic Brush

Last year, my friend Wina generously gave me a Clarisonic, a skincare gadget.

I never had a change to write a descent review about this thing because my skin is VERY fluctuating. Here's the example: 

I have superflawless skin during and couple months after chemotherapy. 

I know it sounds very bad, but i miss what chemo did to my skin. It was glowing. No oil. No dryness. Just perfection. Also I had microdermabrasion on June 2011 so the skin was very very very beautiful. There were times when all I needed was under-eye concealer and loose powder. Seriously.

Then...after 6 months...hormone eruption. That's my own terminology, not the doctor's FYI. I had breakouts allover my chest. My back. My forehead. Cheekbones. I'm just glad that I had no zits on my cheeks, otherwise it would be disaster (because it's easy to get scar on thin areas like cheek). At that time I use Clarisonic twice a day and bathed with antiacne soap...and it didn't help much. 

I still had zits. 

Right now I'm using the brush once a day, at night. Wait until my skin in normal condition again, I'll write a descent review about it.

Recent Activities

Jatiluhur

Earlier this month, I (and the rest of student of PSIL UI) went to Jatiluhur Dam in West Java. I hate traveling so I can't say much about the trip, but I was lucky my body was cooperating very well...no excessive headache.

Benefit Chacha Tint

Right now I'm little bit obsessed with lipstain, so when my aunt went to Malaysia, I asked her to get me a lipstain.

She bought me Benefit Chacha Tint (and got herself a Benetint).

FYI, Benefit is not available in Indonesia at the time of writing.

What is a Chacha Tint? It's "This mango-tinted stain beautifully blushes lips & cheeks with a tropical sunset hue. Smooch-proof & smudge-proof, this sheer stain will have you looking deliciously sun-kissed for hours." according to the company.



It took many trial and (LOTS of) error to apply this product.

First, I dot it on my cheek, closed the caps, then worked on my right cheek first,then my left.

BIG mistake.

I got streak on my left cheek!!
At that time I realized that this product absorbed very very quickly. So now I can give you tips to apply the tint:

Open the cap, dot it on one side of your cheek, then blend immediately. Dot the other cheek and blend right away.
Then you can close the cap.

A-Ha!!!
Beautifuly flushed-cheek that lasts all day long!!

This is me wearing the tint. Please pay attention on my blush. I look fresh-er with this.

PS: don't forget to wash your hand after wearing this pigmented tint!

Finally..

Finally...that day. The day I went bald. Once again, I cried. But life goes on..now I have scarfs, headwear, hats to play with :)

I also played with my makeup. I wear bold colors..I highlight and contour my face...I think I look like a drag queen :)

Musim Gugur...di Kepalaku

Bagi pembaca yang belum mengenal gue, harus gue umumkan bahwa gue orangnya logis..namun namanya manusia, tentu punya perasaan...jadi kadang logika jebol juga kalau lagi 'patah hati'.

Selaku seorang pasien yang sedang menjalankan kemoterapi, gue sudah sadar bahwa gue akan banyak kehilangan rambut...jadi sehari sebelum Kemo I gue udah gunting rambut cukup drastis, dengan harapan gue gak kaget.

Namun harapan tinggal harapan. Ketika hari Jumat (19 Agustus), tepat dua minggu setelah Kemo I, rambut gue rontok dengan dashyat, gue nangis...meratapi rambut2 gue yang berguguran..menangis sembari sisiran depan tong sampah...

Gue menangis hampir 8 jam.

Gue tulis di Facebook "I wish I could say, it's just hair..it'll grow back" dan teman2 dekat gue mengerti dan menghibur, seperti

"Loe tetap cantik.."
"Nanti tumbuhnya lebih bagus.."
dan sebagainya yang saat itu tidak gue pedulikan. Tetep nangis!!!!!!!!

Jam 17 gue keluar kamar, dengan muka sembab, dan mencoba becanda dengan kucing2 jahanam itu. Berenti juga nangisnya!

Besoknya gue sudah gak mellow lagi...life goes on,..dan hari Minggu gue putuskan untuk menggunting rambut lagi, kali ini model pixie!

Ayo Kita Kemo(n)

Setelah antrian yang melelahkan di RSCM sehari sebelumnya, tanggal 5 Agustus lalu gue kemoterapi. Dalam Facebook, gue tulis gue lagi 'spa'. Lebay banget ya.

Kemo diadakan di RSCM, Gedung A ruang 301, ruang khusus kemoterapi. Ini adalah pengalaman pertama, gak ada yang bisa gue tanya2 (dan males browsing), jadi gue bawa bawaan kayak mau nginep.

Ternyata ruangannya adalah ruang khusus kemo, ada 5 bed di sisi kanan dan 5 bed lain di sisi kiri. Rupanya sisi satu untuk perempuan, satunya lagi laki. Ohya, kamar mandi di luar, jadi agak merepotkan jika harus geret2 infus.

Satu hal yang tidak gue tahu adalah infusnya bikin badan panas dingin. Gue salah kostum dengan sukses: kaos dan jaket...dan jaket itu gak bisa dilepas selama tangan masih ada selangnya! Jadi gue cuman bolak balik badan aja karena punggung keringetan lalu kedinginan lagi.

Total dikemo adalah 10 jam. Ada saatnya kebosanan gue sudah mencapai titik tinggi dan gue memotret segalanya...

Fasilitas ruang 301 itu, hmmm.....ada dispenser tapi gak dikasi gelas....makanannya standar rumah sakit (alias gak asiiikkk), ada TV flat tapi posisinya di samping (tapi lumayan banget siiih)...seperti sudah gue singgung, toiletnya ada di luar, rempong juga jalan2 pake infus...ranjangnya gak reclining pake 'pencetan', jadi gue kemarin males membaca karena tempat tidurnya gak bisa tegak.

Singkatnya, kemo berikutnya -jika gak di kamar yang standar- gue akan:
-pake baju nyaman
-jangan pake jaket..panas...
-bawa gelas
-bawa makanan krn makanan rumah sakit gak cocok dengan selera gue

Kemudian gue baru tahu dari tante kalau tangan gue gak boleh banyak gerak karena infusnya 'racun', kalau sampai 'keluar jalur' bahaya...mungkin berikutnya gue pasang kateter aja kali ya?! Atau pakai pampers...hmmmmm

Perawatan kemo gak nginep jadi gue pulang malemnya.

Besoknya belum begitu kerasa efeknya. Masih bisa keluar2 rumah main kucing..pake masker tapinya, takut terekspos kuman2.

Dua hari kemudian terasa teler...rasanya lemas, mulut kering, kliyengan, dan yang tidak gue duga adalah susah p*p!!!

Sakiiiitttttt!!!

Jadi besok2 gue akan persiapan makan pepaya banyak2 sebelumnya...

Puncak dari segala keteleran adalah hari Selasa (4 hari setelah kemo), habis itu badan mendingan dan tadi (15 Agustus) gue udah ngantor lagi.

Cuti

sayup2 mendengar suara Ice Cream Campina....it's 18.30...kasian amat sih jam segini masih jualan :(

Tak terasa udah akhir tahun ya...2010 bentar lagi abis...gak banyak yang gue dapatkan setahun ini, tapi tetep semua disyukuri...
...seperti contohnya terhitung tanggal 20 kemarin, gue ambil cuti :)

Cuti yang garing mengingat gue ambil ketimbang 'angus', tapi sebenarnya gue di rumah aja...ngrecokin emak (????). Poor her.

Cuti ini gue habiskan dengan jalan2 (seputar Cibubur saja..) dan mendapat hasil: tas imut, baju 2 biji, dan grocery shoping tentu saja; lalu kadang gue iseng mencari korban: tadi pagi gue mandiin Unyil hehehe.

Siapa bilang jadi pegawai gak enak? Pegawai bisa cuti :)

Mirip2 ama keladi (tua2 keladi, makin tua makin keladi, red), Coki ini makin tua makin norak. Kenorakannya tidak kalah dengan Bingo, walau dia tetap lebih behave. Sabtu lalu gue pergi dengan ortu sampai Magrib, pulang2 gue disambut dengan luar biasa gembira (agak lebay malahan), pake lari2, pake bersin2, pake ngulet2, dan yang aneh adalah: pake gonggong2! Bener2 cari perhatian. Tampaknya dia sedih banget kami pergi seharian...

Lalu ini foto gue dengan Bonyok, ibunya Bodas.

Bener2 Bonyok ini sesuai dengan namanya: kulitnya jelek banget, sering banget bonyok!!!
Ughh!!

Oliver!!

My father took this kitten near our house, he found the kitten crying on the grass OTW home.

This male kitten is not gorgeous, but he has wonderful purrsonallity. He eats well. He sleeps well (we 'sacrifice' Weyce to be his surrogate mother, hehehe), he loves to play, he purrs everytime we touch him...

He's so lovely.

Not to mention we didn't train him much with litter box. He just understands that easily!!

Then last week, I watched him rolling around on old socks...all I think about was Oliver Stone.

Don't ask me why. I don't even know his face.

So I named him OLIVER.

But to be honest, most of the time I forgot his name and I call him Daniel/Alfredo/Carlos LOL

I guess I still have to find a right name for this little creature :)

Health Comments

I promised myself not to tell/complain about my condition: tired; flu; cold; etc because people tend to give me advices, such as:
Eat healthy; sleep well; don't exhaust yourself; take Vitamin C.

I try to live healthy. I quit smoking. I don't drink cold drinks anymore...

So it's better not to tell anything about my health, especially to someone who doesn't know me well.

PS: the picture is not related to my health :) I took that with camera phone, tried to capture my scar...and I failed :)

My boyfriend says I look fat in this picture, but I think I look good :)

and yes, I gained 2 kg..that's why you don't see many pics lately

After Haircut

After the haircut, I tried to find good lighting because I love my (blowed-out) hair sooooo much and want to get a picture of it.

IT was dark...it was a camera phone...don't expect good result...:)

Hair Cut...Finally

My hair loss was getting worse...so I decided to get a trim.

The process didn't take long..I mean, it was just a trim and blow out. I loved the blow out, I even ask for hair spray!

Anyway, during the cut the stylist commented on my skin, "wow, your skin is sooo flawless..do you go to dermatologist??"

Probably I wear turtle neck to avoid annoying question.
For instance, not everybody aware that thyroid problem is genetic. I got comments like
"You should take Iodium salt"
"You should drink mineral water"
"You smoked too much"
Yes it's true. But probably I'd have cancer without smoking anyway.
It's pretty annoying, for me, right now.
