The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Makeup Remover

Usualy I use Maybelline waterproof makeup remover, but I decided to try The Body Shop.

Unlike the liquid Maybelline, TBS has creamy texture.
And it doesn't do its job as good as Maybelline :(

It removed MAC Fluidline eyeliner perfectly, but it took me more time to remove waterproof mascara (Cat Eyes by Maybelline).

To be honest I don't like this product. It's not cheap (IDR 99,000 for 100 ml) and it takes much time and patient to remove waterproof mascara.

Oriflame Eyeliner Stylo

I was interested on the shape: the tips looks like a marker!

Now here's the review:
The color (mine is black) isn't too intense. I need about 3 coats to make it dark enough for my standard.

I can't blend it because it dries too fast (probably good for other, but not me.

It doesn't stay long either, but at least it didn't smudge.

Also the applicator takes time to master.

Bottom line, I don't like this product...but this is good if you like precise line and not-too- intense color.

Moonlite (Cloth) Pantyliner

I ordered 6 Moonlite pantyliners from Etsy.com. I took 2 and sell the rest.

It's made of 2 layer of fabrics, the seller asked me what kind of fabric I wanted...I don't know anything about fabric, so I answered "anything, as long it has velour on one side"

So I got 6 pantyliners, made of 12 kind of fabrics :D

Anyway, Moonlite is a pantyliner, no waterproofing, made from 2 layers of fabric.

Mine are purple (bamboo fleece + BSFT --can't find the definition of BSFT. Probably it's bamboo-S(?)-french terry) and red (bamboo velour + organic sherpa)

The red cloth is thicker than the purple one.
The purple is very very very thin. It's thinner than most of my cloth liners.

Love it!!!

The Body Shop Seaweed Series

Last week I went to TBS store in Cibubur Junction. I was looking for moisturizer because the Vitamin E moisturizer I have right now isn't enough to hydrate my skin. I purchased the serum...and some cute things!!!

They offered some travel/trial sizes: 20% discount if you buy 3. I can't resist it!!!!

First, it's Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment.

Photo: TheBodyShop.com

The claim:
A light, easily absorbed, non-clogging, oil-free moisturising gel. It purifies and balances the skin in the areas you need it to most, whilst delivering essential moisture to the drier areas and essential protection for the day ahead. All this, while you sleep. Wake up to fresh, hydrated and clarified skin.

I tried it last night and I woke up with less oil in my face...
Price: IDR 28,000 for 15 ml

I also purchased Mattifying Day Cream

The claim:
An easily absorbed, non-clogging, oil-free, hydrating gel-like moisture cream. It controls excess sebum and shine whilst delivering essential moisture to areas most in need, balancing the skin throughout the day. Leaves skin feeling fresh, clean, soft and supple with a shinefree, matte complexion.

I put this thing on this morning. I'm less oily now, but it's not moisturized enough for my skin.

Price: IDR 32,000 for 15 ml

Anyway, travel sizes are great way to try on new products...

The verdict: I think those Seaweed series would work well for someone with oily skin.

(and right now, I regret I didn't buy that Vitamin E cute facial wash...)

Revlon Beyond Natural Blush and Bronzer

This one is a gift. I don't play much with my cheeks so I rarely buy a blush.

Photo: Revlon.com

Anyway, mine is 430 Plumberry.

The name of the product reveals anything: Beyond Natural Blush & Bronzer is a blush (the plumberry color) and a bronzer (the tan color)...and just like the name, it's very natural. You won't overdo...even after 3 layers of application.

Yes, I've tried that.

This is amazing product if you want sheer, healthy look.

Maybelline Volum' Express Cat Eyes Mascara

Last weekend I went to Giant Cibubur, then I was attracted to Maybelline Volum' Express Cat Eyes waterproof mascara.

While many associates 'cat eyes' with something pointy at outer corner, all I can think about is one of my cats' eyes, Ganteng...who has droopy eyes :P

Now back to the review.

I don't remember the price, but it's not expensive.
(hey, I'm not a beauty blogger!)

The mascara has no bristles, instead it has comb. Similar to L'Oreal Double Extension.

The comb itself needs time to master :)

This morning I wear one coat and I love it.

With many many many uses of metal lash-comb, hahaha.

It tends making your lashes stick together, so you'll need lash comb.

Adding another coats, you'll get into trouble...

I curl my lashes before so I have lovely lashes right now.

While the comb takes times to master, the comb makes me easier to apply mascara to my lower lashes.
Then the best part: it's not hard to remove at night.

Here's the conclusion.
Pros:
not expensive, nice lashes (upper and lower)...relatively easy to remove

Cons:
the comb takes time to master

How to Stay Awake from 9 to 5

This is Caring Colours makeup palette, How to Stay Awake from 9 to 5.

No, this isn't mine. It's my aunt's. She purchased it in Guardian.

Sorry for the bad lighting --and I don't know how to touch up a picture-- but IMO this palette is wearable....except the blush (the big-square one). It's too pale.

Disposable Experience

I spent my last days of period when I was away from home.

I'm not a heavy bleeder, so I didn't pack many (disposable) Love Moon Anion sanitary napkins.

Turned out I was still bleeding, while it wasn't much, a pantyliner wasn't enough.

...

...and I ran outta pads.

I really, really regret didn't bring my Mollyliners!!!

So I asked a coworker, so handed my Ch*rmed. A regular disposable sanitary napkins.

You know something?!

I'm no longer used with (regular) sanitary napkins, the smell of damp pads were offensive to my standard :D

Yeah, next time I wouldn't forget a stash of Lovemoon!!!

Revlon Colorstay Mineral Foundation

The claim:
Loose powder foundation that combines pure, lightweight minerals that are good for your skin and ColorStay™ longwear technology that lasts for up to 16 hours. This medium coverage foundation provides a color that won't fade all day making your skin look both healthy and flawless, no matter how long your day is.

In my skin:
Gee...16 hours?? I don't think it stays on my skin for more than 2 hours???! Even without 'wudhu', this thing fades away. With makeup primer (right now I use Oriflame).

But that's OK. I just touch up my face during the day. And I love the coverage: sheer to medium, depends on your hand :)

I don't remember the price, but it's not expensive

Giordani Gold Eye Pencil in Black

I wore it on my bottom eye yesterday and it smudged like hell so this morning I just apply it on my upper lids.

The texture is softer than my MAC pencil eyeliner and it blends well. But....

...the staying power isn't good, it fades after hours so you'll need to touch it up. But it doesn't smudge and I like it.

Giordani Gold Rouge Future Lipstick SPF 15

Mine is Ravishing Red. It's red with purple hue, it's not orange-y.

I love the color, it really compliments my skin tone...but unfortunetely, only light color compliments my huge lips, so I won't use this without any blotting.

I thought I could use this as a liptint when the color wears off, but after I had my lunch, the color wears off and I had to reapply.

But I don't mind, it's just a lipstick.

Garnier Skin Naturals Light Visible Whitening Face Powder

I put Biokos 2 way cake inside my makeup pouch in my gym-bag, but but it's already broken and made my pouch dirty so I need a new one.
I don't want something fancy and branded since I leave my gym bag (with makeup pouch in it) inside my parked car, so I searched for a cheaper powder.
I choose Garnier, mine is ivory.
The claim: long-lasting shine free effect.
The verdict: I only use this after gym, before I go home (hey, even when it's just a ride to my apartment, I have to look good, hehehehe) and I only feel the 'long lasting shine free effect' for less than 1 hour.
But I don't mind because it's easy to take off at night, and it's cheap so I won't complain. But I complain on the packaging! It's ugly and looks cheap :P

YSL Poudre Sur Mesure

The name is Podre Sur Mesure Semi-Loose Powder Natural Radiance.

I don't speak french, so semi-loose powder natural radiance is the translation for podre sur mesure?

Anyway, who cares.

I was searching for loose powder that has medium coverage and ended up purchase the YSL.

Mine is 01 Ivory. I choose the lightest one because I always make mistake of choosing foundation that's darker than my skintone.

I love the packaging. Love it! It's loose but it's compact. Confused? Just see the picture. I can't explain it well :)
How about the quality? What I love about expensive powder is the texture. Love it. I apply it with my The Body Shop powder blush.
What I don't love is the staying power. To be honest, I haven't found a powder with good staying power....and that's pretty ironic since I don't have super-oily skin.
But still, I'm happy with the powder. Because it has gorgeous packaging. Because it's very expensive, hehehehe....
Price: IDR 465,000

LT Pro Translucent Powder

I was disappointed with my Oriflame Airsoft Powder so I had to search another one. I was going to Plaza Cibubur last Sunday when I noticed a brand called LT Pro.

It's a professional makeup line from La Tulipe --a brand that I love-- and I was interested by the powders.

I was like "it's a pro thing. It should have medium coverage and nice texture" and purchased LT Pro Translucent Powder in Clair, very fair color, and hope I could wear it alone without foundation when I'm not in the mood for much makeup.

I can't comment on the staying power because it's no different from other brands I've tried.
I like the texture, it's blendable, but it's too translucent for a professional makeup line and I was expecting something more opaque so I was disappointed.

Silly me. It's has translucent in its name, baby!!!

Price: IDR 80,000 ++

Love Moon Anion

I was travelling when I had my period so I had to use disposables. I already had the Love Moon Anion, an MLM product, and I tried it.

I was amazed when I knew the price tag for 10 day pads: it cost IDR 50,000!!! Wow.

After trying it, I have some cons and pros.

Pros:
  • It felt sooo dry.
  • No nasty smell. Blood is organic, sure it has certain smell, but Love Moon makes it less unpleasant.
  • Usually I had cramp and headaches during my period and sometimes took Feminax to ease the pain. Believe it or not, with Anion, I experienced less.
Cons:
I'm not a heavy bleeder so I was dissapointed when it leaked. Ugh. But probably it was my fault because I forgot to change it after 8 hours(!).

Oriflame Air Soft Powder

I ran outta loose powder and couldn't decide between Make Up For Ever's HD microfinish powder and Dior's Diorskin Nude.

Well, that was the plan. But life sucks (hehehe)...my cat Bubun needed surgery and I didn't have the budget for fancy powders anymore :D

So I had to purchase a cheaper one. I never tried Oriflame powders before, so I gave it a try.

It was Oriflame Air Soft Powder, came in two colors (Light and Clear), I choose Light.

The worst thing about purchasing from a catalog is no testers.

I was associating LIGHT with FAIR, then when the order came, turned out that LIGHT equals TAN.

Sh*t

Luckily the powder is sheer --supersheer it has no coverage-- so I have sheer-tan skin.

Eeeewwwkkkkkkkkkkk!

Pros:
  1. Good if you like sheer coverage.
  2. Good price.

Cons:
  1. Limited colors --and I choose the wrong one. Stupid!--
  2. Nice texture, easy to blend. yeah, probably because it's soooo sheer.

And for me, I hate it because it doesn't match my skintone.

The powder-hunting season has begun.....

Love Moon Anion Panty Liner

I hope you don't mind if I write about................MLM product :P

It's Love Moon Anion Panty Liner.

I don't remember all the claim, but I can remember that it release anion (something good for your body); not made from recycled material (translation: the product isn't bleached); it provide dryness.

I wear it every night, not because I need it, just want to know the health benefit.

I've been wearing it for 2 nights now...all I can say that it really, really, really dry (yes, I touch the surface, hehehe). Drier than 'generic' brands you find in supermarkets. Another good thing is: no nasty smell.

If you wear pantyliner/sanitary napkins and think you smell bad, that's not you. That's the product. You won't experience it with cloth pad or Anion Panty Liner.

OK, those are the pros. How about the cons? For me, the disposable part is the worst one. And not using recycled material, along with the anion releasing system, adds the cost. Translation = super-expensive.

But my dear, if you can't do something good to environment, at least you do something good to your body.....

Revlon Beyond Natural Cream to Powder Eyeshadow

I hate cream eyeshadow because:
  1. They're sheer and I hate sheer eyeshadow
  2. Usually they crease.
This is what the company says:
4 color-coordinated shades work individually or together for naturally gorgeous eyes. Lightweight formula applies like a cream, blends easily, and dries to a soft powder finish.

This is what I say:
I hate this product. First: too sheer for me. Second: it crease in about 1 hour.

Don't buy this one girls!!

Revlon Beyond Natural Protective Liptint SPF 15

I bought in Pink. Yes, I bought it, the product isn't my aunt's hahahaa...

The claim:
Tints lips with beautiful, moisturizing color while also providing SPF 15 sun protection. Designed to enhance any complexion for naturally beautiful lips. Delectable berry scent.

The verdict:
The color looks so intense in the tube: shocking pink! But it turns into nice, natural color.

Don't ask me about staying power. It's only a lip-tint

Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup

I didn't buy this one. It's my aunt's. She was going out of town when she realized she didn't pack her makeup, so she did a Revlon shopping there.

I decided to give it a try. The claim:
Weightless foundation that goes on white and self-adjusts to match your exact skin tone

The verdict:
Yes. It does turns into my skin color.
Coverage: sheer. Hey, remember the title: Beyond Natural :)
Staying power: once again, it never claimed as 'long lasting' so you need to touch up after sholat

This is good product if you love barely-there look.
And I should warn you, this product needs flawless skin, otherwise you'll need more concealer.
